WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDY
During the month of July we will study John Meacham’s book “American Gospel”. Pastor Debbie will be using this book as a resource for worship during July. Each Sunday we will discover how the Christian community helped to shape our identity as a nation. Each Sunday we will experience worship as the church worshipped during those periods of our American history that shaped our nation: the Founding Fathers, the Civil War, the World Wars and Depression, the 70’s, and the modern era. We will explore the music of those eras and hear the scripture and sermons of some of this country’s greatest preachers. To prepare for worship, we will discuss Jon Meacham’s book on Wednesday nights.
In September, we will begin a year long “Kerygma: The Bible in Depth” study. The Kerygma study is a thematic study of the Bible. We invite anyone who is interested in expanding your knowledge of our scriptures to come join us.
CELEBRATION
Debbie Osterhoudt was ordained a minister 25 years ago this month. There will be a reception in her honor on Sunday, July 31st, following the worship service. Join us for this celebration.
